Project Snapshot
Client: Mosaic Baptist Church
Industry: Church & Faith Community
Project Type: New website (replacing a previous WordPress site)
Platform: Rocketspark
Outcome Summary:
A welcoming, community-focused digital presence
Clear communication of beliefs, gatherings, and next steps
A sustainable platform supporting ministry and growth
The Client Context
Mosaic Baptist Church is a local church community centred on belonging, discipleship, and lived faith.
For Mosaic, church is not a performance or a program — it is a community of people learning to follow Jesus together in everyday life. That ethos needed to be reflected online. The website wasn’t just an information hub; it was often the first point of contact for people exploring faith, community, or simply looking for a place to belong.
The digital presence needed to feel authentic, welcoming, and clear, without assuming prior church experience.
The Challenge
The previous website, built on WordPress, had become harder to manage and less aligned with how Mosaic wanted to communicate.
From a visitor’s perspective, information about gatherings, beliefs, and community life needed to be easier to find and understand. From an operational perspective, the church needed a website that could be updated easily by the team, without technical complexity or ongoing maintenance burden.
The challenge was to simplify the platform while deepening clarity and warmth in how the church presents itself.
Our Approach
Our approach began with listening carefully to how Mosaic describes itself — in its language, its values, and its emphasis on relationship and discipleship.
We focused on:
Structuring content around common visitor questions (“Who are you?”, “What do you believe?”, “What happens on a Sunday?”)
Using clear, invitational language rather than insider terminology
Creating a logical flow from curiosity to connection
Rather than overloading the site with content, we prioritised clarity, hospitality, and accessibility.
Platform & Technology
The website was rebuilt on the Rocketspark platform, providing Mosaic with a secure, reliable, and easy-to-manage foundation.
Moving away from WordPress reduced technical overhead and allowed content updates to be handled confidently by the church team. This is especially important in a church context, where roles change and volunteers often contribute to communication.
Content clarity and foundational SEO were supported using Flint AI, always guided by human review to ensure tone remained pastoral and appropriate.
Design & User Experience
The design approach reflects Mosaic’s community-focused identity.
Clean layouts, approachable typography, and consistent visual structure help visitors feel oriented rather than overwhelmed. Navigation is intuitive, making it easy to explore gatherings, beliefs, ministries, and next steps.
The site is fully mobile-responsive, recognising that many visitors will engage via their phones — often before ever attending in person.
Outcomes
Mosaic Baptist Church now has a website that:
Clearly communicates who they are and what they value
Feels welcoming to people at different stages of faith
Is practical and sustainable to manage internally
The website supports the church’s mission by making connection easier and more approachable.
Final Thoughts
This project was about alignment between message, medium, and mission.
By creating a digital presence that reflects Mosaic’s heart for people and community, the website now acts as a natural extension of the church itself — inviting, clear, and grounded in everyday faith.
